This gentle yoga practice stretches the large muscles of the legs, arms and back increasing flexibility, improving circulation and reducing stress throughout the body. Using deep, slow breaths pushes fresh blood and oxygen to the brain and vital organs while holding yoga poses strengthens muscles to improve balance, flexibility and posture. Gentle yoga can be practiced from the mat or chair. Each individual can choose the options that best suits their limitations and strengths or just enjoy resting poses that relax and stretch the entire body. Please bring a yoga mat and blanket with you to class. Classes may be held in either the MPR or the Auditorium.
