Headingley, Fall 2024 Gentle Yoga with Lorraine
This class combines balance poses, core strengthening exercises, and relaxation techniques for a comprehensive practice. Yin Yoga incorporates long-held poses that stretch the stiff tissues of the body, particularly targeting the hip and shoulder joints, spine, and attached ligaments.
Program Details:
- Long-Held Poses: Deep stretches to target and release stiffness in the hips, shoulders, spine, and ligaments.
- Balance Poses: Practice standing balance poses behind a chair to strengthen the lower body.
- Core Muscle Work: Sit and engage in exercises to strengthen the core muscles.
- Relaxation: Conclude with relaxation in savasana, either from the chair or the floor.
