Whether you're a beginner or a more advanced fitness enthusiast looking to push yourself to a higher level, this is a fun and challenging class incorporating cardio, strength and flexibility. Individual attention from the instructor ensures everyone is encouraged to strive towards their personal goals. Please bring an exercise mat to class. Payment may be made in installments. *Please note there will be no class Oct. 9th. Fridays will take place at La Salle School from 6-7 pm with the exception of Sept.15, Oct.20, Nov. 3 & 24th will be held at LSCU Complex in the MPR.

Fitness and Character development for ages 7-70+. Karate is an activity that helps each student develop at their own pace but encourages constant improvement. Shotokan karate is a non contact martial art but teaches self-defense and perseverance through Kata, Kihon, and Kumite (3 elements of most martial arts.) This class is for children and adults with both beginner and junior ranks participating. The first 45-60 minutes will focus on beginners with the remaining 15-30 minutes dedicated to intermediate students. All students attend the full 75 minutes but beginners may leave after the first hour. Testing for belt ranks is not necessary but encouraged if you continue training. (This is a separate fee managed by the instructor). Please wear shorts and a T-shirt and ensure that toe nails are clipped short. Please indicate at time of registration whether you are a beginner or intermediate student. *Please note change in class time from previous sessions. Intermediate students class will run until 8:30.

Gentle yoga can be practiced from the mat or chair. Depending upon registration, we may break the group into 2- 30 minute classes. A CSA helmet is required (no bike helmets) and mittens/gloves are recommended.  There will be no class Nov. 11th.
